FlipBook Camera FX

Traditional animators used to use an animation camera to shoot their animation. The camera could zoom in on the artwork and when they wanted to pan or rotate the images they just moved the peg bar that the cels were attached to. Now days they do it with computers and specialized software.

FlipBook Camera FX is the fastest and easiest way there is to add these same camera moves, and more, to your FlipBook scenes. Each level can have its own peg bar and you can move them individually or group multiple levels together to move them in unison. You can also blur the images and dissolve or fade them in and out. And with variable preview size and quality you can see your camera moves as fast as you want.

Camera moves can also save you a lot of drawing time. For example, let's say you want to zoom in on a car as it moves across the scene. You could draw the car again and again, frame after frame rotating the wheels as you draw each one a little bit bigger than the previous one. OR you can draw one car and one wheel and let FlipBook Camera zoom in as it moves the car and rotates the wheels. And it's easier than you'd think.

Pan
You just drag the car to where you want it at the beginning of the move then copy the wheel onto a second level, so you have two of them, and drag each one into place with the car. Now group the three levels together and go to the frame where you want the move to end. Drag the group to it's new position at the end of the move. FlipBook Camera will calculate all of the in-between positions and move the car and the wheels together from the first position to the last. You can even set how many frames you want the car to spend speeding up or slowing down if you want to.

Rotate
Then rotate each of the wheel levels to match the movement of the car. FlipBook Camera can rotate the wheels up to 7200 degrees in either direction. That's 20 full rotations. The more rotations in a given time frame the faster the wheels rotate so it's easy to get the wheels to rotate at the right speed to match the pavement and the movement of the car.

Zoom
Now just zoom in on the last frame of the move and FlipBook Camera will calculate the zoom for each frame.
